Immer noch in Acryl.  So langsam fällt es mir leichter, ich komme wieder rein. Für den ersten, den blauen Tropfen, hab ich noch mehr als eine Stunde gebraucht….

Ich male die Tropfen auf Leinwandresten. Ich denke, ich werde noch mehr Tropfen in verschiedenen Farben malen, die Tropfen aus der Leinwand in handliche Teile schneiden und dann zu einem Patchwork-Bild zusammennähen, das dann auf Keilrahmen aufgespannt wird.

Still painting with acrylics. And I’m getting used to it. For the first single blue drop I needed more than 1 hour of painting. These 5 drops were done in less than an hour.

The drops are painted on odds of canvas. I’m now thinking of doing drops, drops, drops in different colours. Afterwards cutting the drops out in small parts and sewing them together to  a multicoloured drops-painting which will be stretched to a stretcher frame.

Immer mal wieder überkommt mich das Malfieber.

Vor ich weiß nicht wie langer Zeit war ich auf der Handarbeitsmesse in Stuttgart und sah dort ein paar Wassertropfenbilder. Ich fand die wunderschön und wollte das auch mal ausprobieren.

Also, einen Wassertropfen auf einen einfarbigen Untergrund gelegt und dann den Pinsel gezückt. Für den ersten Versuch finde ich “meinen” Tropfen schon ganz sehenswert und es werden sicher noch weitere folgen.

Die Versuchsreihe werde ich in meinem Shop verhökern, mal sehen ob auch für mich am Ende ein Bild rauskommt – könnte ich mir gut im Bad vorstellen, nur passt bei mir kein Blau. Blau liebe ich aber beim Malen….

Several month ago I saw waterdrop-paintings in oil colour and wanted to try this one day.

Started today with a blue drop but not using oil colours. I’ve done the first drop with acrylics and will try oil also …. this will become a series of waterdrops, I love to paint them

The paintings will be available in my shop as long as there is one I want to hang into my bathroom. But this has to be orange or red or mhm………… still thinking of what colour….

Das Nähen von Fritzi hat mir auch wieder Lust auf Bärenmalen gemacht. Das erste Bild ist ein tagträumender kleiner Teddy gemalt auf Jeansstoff, den ich auf Keilrahmen aufgezogen habe.

Für das zweite Bild hab ich einen Rahmen, den ich leider mit Farbe bekleckert habe und erst noch abschleifen muss. Merke: Leg NIE den Rahmen neben die Palette

Sewing Fritzi made me go painting teddies again. The first painting is a daydreamer on Jeans which I fixed to a frame.

The second one has to wait until the planned frame is cleaned. I had the frame lying beside the palett and got paint to it.  I notice for myself never to lay frames near the palette.

Wer schonmal bei mir war, wird bestimmt erkennen, wer da auf dem zweiten Bild abgebildet ist

Das kleine Bild ist eine kleine Spinnerei von mir. Sooooo dick war mein Simba, der Vorgänger von den beiden heutigen Rackern. Aber Simba war schwarz.

The second painting shows my cat Gino when he was a little baby. He is lying on his scratching post and watching the world from high above. He liked to do that when he was a little baby cat. Now he is mostly sleeping when he lies at this post.

The first painting is just a little playing around with colours.

das Schöne an Stofftieren ist, dass sie sehr geduldig sitzen bleiben

Acryl auf Leinwand – 11 x 11 cm, weil ich in dieser Größe einen Rahmen im Vorrat habe. Morgen bekommt es einen Firnis und darf in den Rahmen und so bald ich Zeit habe wandert es dann in meinen DaWanda-Shop, damit der nicht gar so leer ist.

Heute habe ich einen Maltag eingelegt. Zum Einen mussten die Haare für das bestellte Babyportrait auf Wunsch des Käufers überarbeitet werden und zum Anderen brauchte ich ein Geburtstagsgeschenk für eine liebe Freundin. Die Freundin ist momentan Single und meinte neulich, dass es ab und an doch nett wäre, einen Mann im Haus zu haben – ok, Madame – ihr Wunsch ist mir Befehl *gg*

Da die Freundin hier meines Wissens nicht mitliest, kann ich schon ein Foto zeigen. Die hellen Pünktchen sind im Original nicht vorhanden. Ich musste leider mit Blitz fotografieren und die Farbe ist noch nass – es sind Glanzstellen. Öl auf Leinwand 30 x 40 cm.

Today I made a painting-day. I worked at the hair of the babyportrait a last time and painted a birthday present for a friend. My friend is living alone at the moment and one day she said, that, from time to time it would be nice to have a man with her.  I tried to make her a birthday present  which makes her  wish come true *gg*

The white spots in the photo are not on the original painting. I hade to use flash as the painting cannot be moved yet and is still wet. The white spots are reflections from flash light.

Puh, ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass das soooooooo schwer wird…………….

das war mehr oder weniger der Anfang:

Augen zu groß, Mund schief, Backe zu dick, Nase zu groß und dazu noch schief, der Rücken fehlt………………..

I didn’t think this painting to be that difficult to paint. This was the beginning. The mouth too small and not leveled, nose too big and crooked, cheek too fat…………………..

ein paar Stunden später:

vieles wieder abgewischt, Mund geändert – immer noch falsch. Alleine den Mund hab ich 4mal komplett von der Leinwand gewischt und nochmal neu angefangen. Aber die Backe ist schon nicht mehr so dick

Some hours later. washed off the mouth and started it new for 4 times. There is something wrong with the eyes. Nose is still inconsistent………………..

nochmal Stunden später:

Mund Nr. 5. Rücken angefügt. Körper ausgearbeitet , die Form bleibt jetzt. Die Farben müssen jetzt trocknen, dann gehts mit weiteren Licht und Schatten frühestens morgen weiter. An der Stirn und den Wangen möchte ich noch etwas aufhellen.
Die Lippen bleiben jetzt so, egal obs 100 % stimmt oder nicht. Die Haare bleiben auch. Arbeiten werde ich nur noch an der Haut bzw. den Lichtern im Gesicht. Aber heute nicht mehr. Geht eh nicht, da die Farben noch nass sind.

Again some hours later:

Mouth number 5 – I will leave this even if it is not perfect. A painter has to know when to stop *gg*. Now the oil colours have to dry till tomorrow. Then I will be able to add more light to the face by a thin layer of white.

Fazit: etwas größere Kinder und Erwachsene sind leichter zu malen.

Aber der Knopf auf der Schulter gefällt mir *gg*

Well, it seems that bigger children and grown ups are easier to paint as babies.

Nachtrag 24.05.08 – fertig:

Ich habe alles nochmals lasierend übermalt, so dass grobe Pinselstricke abgemildert wurden. Licht und Schatten wurden nachgearbeitet und die Haare fertiggestellt. Auch mein Lieblingsdetail, der Knopf ist jetzt ausgearbeitet *gg* – fertig.

I did a thin layer allover the painting, softening hard brush strokes. Made the hair more brown, softened the sweater and detailed the button, which I like so much *gg*. The painting is ready now.

ich hab da mal ausprobiert, ohne Pinsel, nur mit dem Palettmesser zu malen. Na ja. Mein Tequila ist es nicht. Sieht mehr nach dicker Perserkatze aus. Aber ich hab jetzt trotzdem aufgehört und das Bild für vorerst fast fertig erklärt. Wenn ich jetzt noch versuche, das auszubessern wirds nur noch schlimmer. Augen und Nase werde ich noch mit Pinsel nachschattieren wenn die Farbe trocken ist.
Öl auf Leinwand, 140 x 50 cm – noch patschnass, deshalb die Glanzstellen auf dem Foto. Für die Mal-Homepage werde ich ein neues Foto machen, wenn die Farbe angetrocknet ist. Das kann bei dieser dicken Spachteltechnik Wochen bis Monate dauern.

I tried a new technique (new for me) – painting only with knife, no brush used. Well, I’m not really satisfied. It is not my Tequila, it is some fat persian cat or so.  It is almost ready, will hang to try now for weeks or month with very thick oil colour. When the paint will be dry, I will add some shadows to eyes and nose. The painting is photographed with totally wet colour, therefore the shiny parts from used flash. But it is not possible yet to get a better photo until the colour is dry.

Ich habe das Gefühl, das Malen fast wieder verlernt zu haben und fange deshalb jetzt erstmal ganz klein mit einem Bärenaquarell wieder an.

I didn’t do paintings for a really long time now and want to train my fingers and brain again. Started with a watercolour teddypainting.
