Wir Schwaben sind die Schotten Deutschlands. Ja, ja, uns ärgert das wenn von einem Projekt Fasern überbleiben und nicht mehr für was Neues ausreichen. Und deshalb und weil ich Farben mischen möchte, hab ich mir dieses Sparobjekt gekauft:

And therefore, as I’m a swabian woman, it was too ugly for me to have rests of coloured fibers from a project which were too less in weight for use for something new. And because of this and because I want to blend colours, I baught me a money saving object:

Im Hintergrund sieht man das Buch “colour in spinning”, das schon 1 Jahr in meinem Schrank dümpelt.

Und natürlich hab ich auch schon 100 g BFL-Reste des Barockpullis mit lila Merino vermischt. Das gibt dann vorerst mal ein Paar Socken. Klein fängt man an. Solange ich diese Sockenwolle spinne kann ich ja schonmal die Socken für den Sockentausch stricken. Aber erst, wenn die Nadeln frei sind. Da ist gerade ein brauner Socken aus einer Kaschmirmischung drauf.

And of course I already tried the drum carder. I took 60 g of BFL (rest fiber from the baroque sweater) and carded it together with purple merino. This is 100 g now. I’ll blend it again and then this first selfcarded fiber will become socks. I start small and maybe there will be a sweater one day made of my own carded fiber.
